Judicial Council Nominations

The Executive and Planning Committee is currently soliciting nominations to fill vacancies on Judicial Council of California. A description of the council's goals, duties, membership, and terms of service appears in the California Rules of Court, rules 10.1 through 10.4. Additional information about the function and membership of the council is available in Article VI, section 6 of the California Constitution.

Time Commitment
Members attend approximately 5 one- to three-day council meetings per year. Each member is also appointed to an internal committee of the council, which requires participation in an additional 10 to 20 committee meetings per year (in person or by videoconference). Current members estimate that, in addition to attending meetings, they spend three to four days per month on council-related tasks.
