Court Facilities Advisory Committee

The 17-member advisory committee is composed of trial and appellate courts leadership from throughout the state including a justice, judges, and court executives, in addition to private attorneys, and a local government administrator. This committee reports directly to the Judicial Council. Members are appointed with staggered terms by the Chief Justice.

In July 2011, Chief Justice Tani G. Cantil-Sakauye established the Court Facilities Advisory Committee (formerly, the Court Facilities Working Group) as a standing advisory committee to the Judicial Council to provide ongoing oversight of the judicial branch capital construction program for trial and appellate courts throughout the state. The committee oversees the work of the Judicial Council staff in its effort to implement the judicial branch’s statewide capital improvement program and makes recommendations to the Judicial Council for action.
