Education Committee Nominations

2026 Annual Solicitation for Education Committee Nominations

The Executive and Planning Committee is currently soliciting nominations to fill vacancies on Judicial Council's education curriculum committees.

The responsibility for planning, conducting, and overseeing judicial branch education is directed by the Judicial Council of California through its staff at the Center for Judicial Education and Resources (CJER), with recommendations from the CJER Advisory Committee. The primary role and responsibility of the curriculum committee is to develop a two-year education plan for its respective curriculum area. For additional information, see Developing Curriculum-Based Education With Curriculum Committees.

Time Commitment

Membership requires a commitment of one to three hours per month on average but may vary considerably from month to month, depending on the program underway. Curriculum committees typically meet one to four times per year by videoconference. For additional information, see Annual Time Commitment for Education Committee.

How to Apply

The deadline for submitting an application is March 11, 2026.
