Ms. Alekxia Torres Stallings is the managing partner at Torres | Torres Stallings, a law firm specializing in state and federal criminal defense. She has been a licensed practitioner for 12 years and has served extensively on court-related committees at both the state and federal levels.
Ms. Torres Stallings is a liaison to the Superior Court of Kern County’s Pretrial Assessment Committee. She is a past president of the Kern County Bar Association where, as part of that role, she served on the Judicial Appointment Evaluation Committee, the county’s local equivalent of the statewide Committee for Judicial Nominee Evaluation.
Ms. Torres Stallings is a cofounder of an expungement clinic, created in partnership with the Pre‑Law Program at California State University, Bakersfield. The clinic collaborates with justice partners and community organizations to provide volunteer legal assistance for residents of Kern County with previous convictions. Over the past five years, the program has helped expand future opportunities for individuals by clearing their criminal records.
Ms. Torres received a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Irvine, and a juris doctor’s degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School.
