Description
A Request for Proposals has been issued for legal services pilot projects under the Sargent Shriver Civil Counsel Act (AB 590, Feuer). Only those qualified legal services programs who submitted letters of interest by the deadline of November 5, 2010 in response to Justice Earl Johnson, Jr. (ret.), Chair of the Shriver Civil Counsel Act Implementation Committee memorandum of September 23, 2010 are eligible to submit proposals. Proposals are due by close of business February 24, 2011. The AOC anticipates making multiple contract awards, and the announcement regarding awards is anticipated in May 2011.

The Judicial Council, as a public entity, prohibits direct contact with any Council personnel during the solicitation process in order to maintain fairness and equality to all proposers. Proposers are specifically directed NOT to contact any judicial branch entity personnel or consultants for meetings, conferences, or discussions that are related to the solicitation at any time between release of the solicitation and any award and execution of a contract. Unauthorized contact with any judicial branch entity personnel or consultants may be cause for rejection of the Proposer’s proposal.
