Description

The Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC), Planning and Effective Programs Unit, is seeking the services of a consultant with expertise in the analysis and synthesis of judicial branch strategic planning inputs obtained from stakeholders in California, as well as data that reflects national trends likely to impact the California courts. This project will culminate in a printed report that will inform the Judicial Council's strategic planning efforts for the 2006-2012 strategic cycle.

The consultant will be required to analyze and synthesize input obtained from 1) the California trial courts, 2) AOC strategic project implementation efforts, 3) the Judicial Council's Advisory Committees, 4) the Judicial Council's Phase-2 Trust and Confidence initiative (focus groups with California court users, judicial officers and administrators), 5) a study of state and national trends. The final report will include a "gap analysis" component to identify issues not currently addressed in the branch strategic plan for California's judicial branch. The consultant will also be required to make a presentation of project findings at the Judicial Council's June 28-29, 2006, annual planning meeting (to be held in San Francisco).

The successful consultant must have knowledge of and experience with judicial branch strategic planning, and the California courts.

Written proposals must be received no later than 1:00 p.m., February 10, 2006. Oral, facsimile, or email submitted proposals will not be accepted.

Further details regarding solicitation and program requirements are set forth in Request for Proposals (RFP) No. EOP-1205.
