The AOC seeks the services of a consultant/research firm of high professional repute with expertise in evaluating educational programs for youth that address prevention of substance abuse or other public health or related issues. The respondent chosen will evaluate the peer court DUI prevention curriculum and its companion website for their effect on student and parent/guardian attitudes and knowledge of DUI. In addition, the evaluator will make recommendations to improve the curriculum and identify the program's best practices, which will be considered and implemented in the program's final curriculum and website before they are publicly available and distributed. Curriculum and website components include information on alcohol, drugs and DUI, DUI laws, consequences of driving under the influence, lessons on citizenship, interactive discussions, training on refusal skills, and a parent/guardian component. The total amount from any resulting contract will not exceed $75,000 including personnel, materials, computer support, travel, lodging, per diem, overhead rates, and other cost recovery for services rendered.
