The Judicial Council developed a remote work program, allowing certain employees to work from home one day per week. To participate, employees must have specific job functions that allow for general supervision. The Administrative Director has discretion to suspend or terminate the program at any time. As of 2013, 69 employees were approved to telecommute regularly, but this number has since dropped to 65, with a total of 260 remote workdays per month. Approximately 40% of applications were denied due to reasons such as requiring general supervision or having primary essential duties that require on-site presence. The program requires the use of work logs to track employee productivity and participation.
