Body

The design-build project for the Governor George Deukmejian Courthouse began in April 2011 and involved a phased design approval process to ensure timely construction. The design-builder employed a proactive approach, procuring long-lead-time materials and equipment early on to maintain the project schedule. A two-tiered design review process was established to ensure compliance with the project agreement, and regular meetings and reports were held to manage design issues. The project had a strong quality management system in place, which ensured that any identified problems were quickly remedied, resulting in high-quality work and materials. Testing procedures showed the work to be of very high quality, well within industry tolerances.
