The Judicial Council of California will likely update its revenue projections and trigger amounts after reviewing actual April receipts in May. The current budget cycle allows for updates, but uncertainty around economic factors makes it difficult to predict changes. It's possible that the trigger amount may change from $125 million, but 800,000 signatures are required by May to be ready for the November election. The Judicial Council has little money available for updating legacy systems or critical needs, making finding funds a challenging task. Justice Terry Bruiniers provided historical context on the CCMS program, highlighting concerns about piecemeal technology development and the need for integrated systems.
