Judge Kyle S. Brodie was appointed to the Superior Court of San Bernardino County in 2006 by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. Prior to his appointment, he worked for 12 years as a deputy attorney general in the California Attorney General’s Office.

Judge Brodie has presided over civil, juvenile, criminal, habeas corpus, probate, small claims, unlawful detainer, and traffic calendars. He has served as a supervising judge and is chair of his court’s technology committee as well as a member of the court’s executive and budget committees. Before joining the Judicial Council, he served on the council’s Information Technology Advisory Committee. He has also presented courses on new developments in California criminal law at the California Judges Association’s conferences.

Judge Brodie received a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Riverside and a juris doctor degree from Southwestern Law School.
