The Judicial Council holds six to eight business meetings each year. These meetings are open to the public unless closed under rule 10.6(a) or (b) of the California Rules of Court. A meeting agenda is posted here at least seven days in advance, and meeting materials are linked as soon as available.
The Judicial Council welcomes public comment, as it can enhance the council's understanding of the issues coming before it. Members of the public may submit comments in writing in advance of any meeting on specific agenda items or on general topics of judicial administration, or they may arrange to speak at any public meeting.
Audio of public Judicial Council meetings is broadcast real-time through this website. The audiocast link is posted approximately 15 minutes before each meeting on the California Courts homepage and other meeting pages. Recorded audio and text from the live captioning are posted on the meeting page within a few days of the meeting. Minutes are posted once approved by the council, usually at the subsequent business meeting.
To request accommodation of a disability for any public council meeting, please subm.brit the request at least 5 days in advance, either in writing to JudicialCouncil@jud.ca.gov, by phone at 415-865-7737, or by fax at 415-865-4391.
