Video: Supreme Court Oral Arguments in Brinker Case

San Francisco – A video of the California Supreme Court’s oral arguments in Brinker Restaurant Corp. et al. v. Superior Court of San Diego, S166350, is now available on the California Courts website.
The closely watched employment case, which was argued from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. today, November 8, involves the duty of employers to provide meal and rest breaks to hourly employees. A webcast of the court’s oral argument also will be available tomorrow, November 9, on California Channel, a statewide public affairs network.
This week, the Supreme Court is hearing oral arguments in 13 civil and criminal cases through Thursday morning, November 10, in its courtroom in the Earl Warren Building, 350 McAllister Street, San Francisco. The court’s complete calendar with case summaries is on the California Courts website.
The justices will issue a written opinion in each case within 90 days of oral argument.
