California Court Case Management System (CCMS)

CCMS

The judicial branch is building a system of justice that will result in a single case management system used by all 58 Superior Courts. California's Court Case Management System (CCMS) will be integrated with several hundred partner agencies. Today, over 70 different case management systems are in use by the courts and many do not interface with our justice partners. Furthermore, many of these systems are facing critical needs because of outdated technology and significant maintenance costs.

Quick Facts:

  • More than 200 court representatives from 29 counties collaborated to design an application that has the ability to electronically compile, display, update, and exchange case information across local jurisdictions.
  • CCMS will enable the public to e-file documents, access information, and make payments from the internet.
  • Judges and law enforcement agencies will have real-time access to court information across all counties at their fingertips.
  • This statewide system initiative will leverage the technology available today, streamline court processes, and provide up-to-date information to better serve the public.
