Commission Confirms Appointment of Justice Kathleen O’Leary as Presiding Justice of Fourth Appellate District, Division Three
Los Angeles: Chief Justice Tani G. Cantil-Sakauye, Chair of the Commission on Judicial Appointments, announced that the commission today confirmed Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr.’s appointment of Justice Kathleen E. O’Leary as Presiding Justice of the Court of Appeal, Fourth Appellate District, Division Three (Santa Ana).
Justice O’Leary has served as an Associate Justice of the Fourth Appellate District, Division Three, since January 2000. Before her elevation to the Court of Appeal, Justice O’Leary served on the Superior Court of Orange County.
The proposed appointment was approved by a unanimous vote at a public hearing held today in the Supreme Court Courtroom, Ronald Reagan State Office Building, Los Angeles.
